Filming 1

      This weekend was our first weekend to film. We couldn’t film because of a few different reasons. First, we were under prepared. We are still gathering ideas for our video so we are unsure what we are doing yet. We didn’t know what order we were going to film in. We spent the class planning more deeply. We had originally planned to film this weekend. If we would have filmed this weekend, we would have more time to edit. This would have been optimal but we were not organized. We will have less time to edit now, but it will still be enough.

      Another reason we couldn’t film is because we had no vehicle. We need a vehicle to get from place to place. None of us drive yet so we need a parent to drive us around. We need rides to the beach and the mall and back home after. This weekend, we wouldn’t have had a ride so we could not have filmed even if we were prepared. This weekend coming up is Thanksgiving so we are going to film right after in December 1. This will be a good weekend because we all agreed that we are free and our group mate Savanna asked her dad if he could drive us around. We have a plan now to go to the mall then the beach. We also checked the weather to make sure it would be a nice day. I’m happy that we waited a week to film. It gave us a chance to feel more confident in our idea. 

      We also discussed editing techniques. We are going to include the majority of them. This includes jump cuts. transitions, and black outs. We are going to use the editing techniques to help make our video smooth. Also, so that it can convey what our song is about. We also talked about how we might need to add in other people during the video. We are going to switch from the mall, back to the beach, and back to the mall with editing in the video. Our video is going to be like a typical music video. We are going to try to make it similar to others.
